Which Butt Lube is Right for You?

SizeGenetics

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different types of butt lube on the market today. Out of all of the available options, how do you know which ones are the best for you? Are all brands created equal? Do the more expensive butt lubes have a better quality and last longer than their cheaper counterparts? There are so many questions associated with buying butt lube, that a simple trip to the porn store may be more complicated than just picking something off of the shelves and taking it to the counter to purchase. To start, you need to figure out which kind of base you like best. Usually, this task is accomplished through trial and error, which can be more fun than it sounds, considering that there is lots of hot anal action is involved. Essentially, however, there are three basic choices when it comes to butt lube: butt lubes with a silicone base, with a water base and with an oil base. Butt lubes with an oil base are probably the oldest kind, but that does not mean that they are the safest. This is because butt lubes with an oil base tend to break down the latex in condoms and gloves, which leaves them more open to breaking. As you probably know, a broken condom can cause a ton of headaches and heartaches, so unless you are involved in a monogamous relationship with a partner that you trust wholeheartedly, you should absolutely stay away from oil based butt lubes. Even if you are in a committed relationship, you probably want to nix oil based butt lube. This is because the oil in them tends to leave a thin film on your genitals, which can irritate the skin and cause small lesions. These small lesions can get infected easily, particularly around the anal area. So, unless you like regularly visiting your doctor and downing antibiotics by the bottle, butt lubes with an oil base probably are not the best option. This leaves water based and silicone based anal lubes. Both of these choices are safe when it comes to condoms, as they help keep the condom from breaking, as opposed to actually causing them to tear. Water based butt lubes can dry out, as the water is easily absorbed into your skin. Silicone butt lubes will not dry out as easy, but they are more expensive.
